Kate Gosselin on Fox, The Future Of Plastic Bags, Missing Jons "Daddy" Tees!

Hello Jon & Kate fans! Today I tried to venture out in the frigid cold with my kids and it was awful. I decided to go food shopping by myself, where everyone was talking about the eventual ban of paper and plastic bags in supermarkets across the US. They are doing tests in certain cities trying to get people to use recyclable bags. I'm sure you have also noticed that they already sell these bags in your local supermarket. Well low and behold already spots in Manhattan are doing this. Now I always reuse my bags, but apparently these non-biodegradable baddies are killing our environment and there is pending legislation on this. Was anyone aware? Well I forgot my bags. I only have two but for my grocery shopping I need about 20. I was charged $.05 cents per bag. Is this a good thing? The wave of the future? Or another try that will fail? Interesting to see...

Kate Talks About Her Proctor & Gamble New York Visit

The first thing I thought as I watched this was she was wearing the suit that she bought at Banana Republic on that shopping episode! Pretty funny how I remember such random things, its like I'm in the womans closet. . And I don't like the promo Fox News did about Kate stopping by to talk about how she makes ends meat. She never talked that way at all and I feel that comments that THEY make like that is just fodder for the trolls. Watch it HERE.

Ok, I got a few requests for some of the older shirts that both Jon & Kate used to wear. I noticed and I'm sure you did too, that they aren't quite speaking through tees anymore, (lol) but some are too cute to forget. I’m sure any mother would agree that Men Who Change Diapers Rule! This T-Shirt celebrates men who are proud to be dads. This is one of the shirts that people were asking about that Jon wore and I finally found it, sorry for the delay! This daddy-tee is available in sizes M-XXL for $26.50 at BellamariBabyBoutique.com.

I have been using recyclable bags for awhile now. I love them. When I buy sodas by the 2 litter bottles or can goods, I don't have to worry about the bags busting out on me. Out here on the west coast at Fry's Grocery stores, I got mine 10 for $10 and worth every single penny.

I have a few of the recyled bags, but I always forget to take them w/me when I go shopping. I dont have enough bags though for a good grocery shopping trip though. Its something I def. need to invest in for sure.

I have two quick question...
Why don't you have any new photos of the eight on your site? Is it because you are afriad that questions/comments will arise of how sad they seem? An example of that is the Hawaii trip where the picture that was plastered everywhere has the twins looking down and trying to separate themselves from the group. Just one example.

Duckie - perhaps you should move your grumpy comments over to GWOP site because I know that I for one chose this blog so that I wouldn't have to read the negative assumptions of viewers like you.

Sorry CBB, I thought this was an open blog. My mistake.

I have tried of a few of the reusable bags. Most were not washable and seemed cheap. I found a bag thats been reliable called The Best bag that was given to me as a Green present. The bag seems to hold a lot of stuff and has lasted more then a a few washes!

Duckie, I try unless its really nasty, to give everyone a fair shake of telling how they feel about this family. The Hawaii photo has been posted several times on my site. Also its not the best shot of Cara, and I don't feel that there should be a whole discussion about it. Not every photo with 8 kids will be perfect, but does that mean they are unhappy in their lives because they were cranky and didn't want to take a photo? No.

Having a child their exact age I know ALOT about temperaments with youngsters. Its not to be made into something nasty against the Gosselin's themselves. That's where I draw the line.

I am not trying to start a war on mean and hateful comments. I was just pointing out that most of your pictures, about 99% are of the eight when they were younger. Most of the pictures that are released by Jon & Kate now are pictures where the children never all seem to be happy at once. I am not a mother but I have worked with this age group and have been able to get kids to smile to get a picture taken, all at once. My concern is that they are not as happy as everyone wants us to believe even on vacation. I am not going to hate bash. I am just trying to get people to see all sides of a story, not just the one we are forced to see by TLC.

Duckie, I'm glad I went back here and read this because I DO appreciate your posts. Its truly only because I don't see or have any truly recent shots of the kids right now. I have honestly been looking everywhere. If you see any please let me know. Now I will ADMIT I love the photos of when they were cute babies, and I do miss seeing them all snuggly like that. So that's another reason why I show them. But I too wish I had more of an updated selection. Again to everyone, if you see any cute recent photos, let me know!

I just watched the new episode tonight. Jon and Kate are moving! I think that's great!

Does anyone know why Kate was so cranky in the interview?

I found a site with recent pictures posted. It is so difficult to get just 2 kids to look at the camera AND smile at the same time. I babysit a little girl and more than half the pictures I take of her with my kids are for the trash - with one not smiling or not looking or not wanting their picture made. Dr's say you can't make you kids eat or sleep, and I think you also can't make them smile for a picture!
