PennMommy Blog Removal, GWOP Gone/Back & Gosselin Website Updated

Ok, so yesterday I had my own computer issue where my monitor wouldn't turn on. It totally sucks when you cannot get on your computer. Its sad when you feel that your computer is your lifeline to the world, and without it your so lost. Geek Squad over at Best Buy wants a ridiculous amount to fix it. Should I just buy a new computer? Ehh, anyway, this will be modified during today as I have alot to say and the baby is up from her nap!

1. Penn Mommy removed her blog after she was pressed by her husband and son to do so. Whether or not she was ever telling the "truth", fact is if she has that type of illness in her family she should NOT have been blogging like she was. I for one was very weary of what she was writing towards the end. It went from her small "recollection" of when she was helping the Gosselin babies, to her own opinion that was again taken as "fact". Once she admitted to calling CPS on the family the backlash was bad. People jumped ship quick (like they did with Julie and her "opinions") and that culminated with whatever was going on personally made that hate site a sinking ship.

2. GWOP and their "technical glitch". Well with all those Chefs and no cooks this was bound to happen. From what I was told one of them screwed up imputing something and it was removed. Now my sneaky self says they totally deserved it. But well, they totally deserved it....

3. Yay! Check out the Gosselin Website and see the new updated kids corner. (thanks Tina) They also talked about their yard sale that raised over $1000 for their Cancer charity.

4. Kate to appear on "Say Yes To The Dress!" Shopping for a wedding dress is a challenge, especially for Kate Gosselin from TLC's "Jon & Kate Plus 8," who wants a dress for her renewal ceremony. But after Kate falls in love with two gowns, managers must convince a designer to turn 2 dresses into one! October 10th, TLC 10pm

5. My Weekly Poll. I found it so funny that exactly half of you thought the show keeps getting better and half of you thought it was going down hill. I am thinking of a new poll for this week! ANY SUGGESTIONS??

6. This is totally random. But on the hate sites they went on and on how Kate locked up her kids for 4 hours a day and forced them to nap as babies. But right now they are playing that "Toys R Us" episode again. It shows Kate running around food shopping because the kids only nap for 2 hours. Why would anyone lie about that??? hmmmm

I'm cracking up that both of those blogs are gone! I know GwoP will end up back at some point - but seeing it gone when I clicked on the link to it just make me smile!!! :-) And the fact that Pennmommy is gone too is also kind of nice - because I too was VERY wary of the "truths" she was telling over there!!! Obsessive much?? Jealous much?? LOLOL
Glad you're back - glad you had fun in Disney. I love it there - can't wait to go back!

I'm curious where do you get the pics on this site? I have never seen the "kids around the small picnic table in the garage" before. Was it from the family's website?

The episode you are referring to where there was a clock showing elapsed time, did show the kids taking a 2 hour nap. Other episodes have mentioned the kids taking much longer naps than 2 hours.

I recall watching a special on the McCaughey septuplets. Bobbi M. stated in no uncertain terms that her 7 (I think her oldest daughter did school work) slept from 12 til 4 p.m. each day...I think she said it was the Christian way. I guess mothers insist that children do their "job" by sleeping for a long time. I remember thinking that this was a interesting explanation. I always insisted my kids sleep for a long naptime because I worked as a freelance editor during their naptime.

I had two kids who slept regularly for 3 plus hours, then stopped very suddenly. I was devastated about the lack of naps. My middle child never really napped for longer than 1.5 hours. When she stopped napping at 2, I was not as shocked since she was never a great napper.

Thanks for the question, Momontherun: I try to not have the same generic pics on my site that most do. This particular photo was from Facebook from what I believe was Jon's account prior to deletion.

Thank you for this blog! My husband and I are avid viewers of the show and I only recently found these blogs saying horrible things about the Gosselins. And it made me so upset, I couldn't sleep! Now, after reading your blog (whew), I will sleep much better (albeit less). It's so sad to think that such horrible things could be written out there. And honestly, you really want to believe the best about these people you feel are a part of your family each week! So, it was very disheartening.

I can't even tell you how refreshing your blog site is!! Thank you and keep up the good work!! We were in Disney the same time you guys were too!!! We had been wanting to go for some time and when we saw the fun that the Gosselins had there we couldn't wait any longer!!! We had a blast, hope you guys did too!!

I do find it interesting that both PennMommy's site and GWoP site went down at relatively the same time. I do know that GWoP is still up and running but under a different address. And personally I am glad that for whatever reason, PennMommy's site is no longer in existence. I found her site to be extremely upsetting and just so unkind. I also don't understand why she and now her other son continued to blog/make posts when their son/brother is so gravely ill...I guess everyone deals with things differnetly?!

Also, I am a Christian and I have never heard of any idealogy/theory whatever you want to call it, about having your children nap for any length of time or about napping in general. I do however believe that kids need sleep/down time just as much as they need food etc...but that is a theory from a book I read and not a Christian one at that. Has anyone else heard of long naps as a Christian way?

I also love the updates on the Gosselin site. I am so happy that Kate is doing a weekly Devotional and I look forward to reading it every monday!

Thanks again, I look forward to the discussions on your blog!

Wow! love this site!!! I love watching the Jon and Kate 8 and didn't know what to think about the other blogs. I came across them by accident looking for the Gosselins website. I did read several of the blogs.. How can people be so nasty? Don't people have a life? If they didn't agree with them...my question was why did/do they watch? hmm.. but, neway I'm really glad I found this one..Thank you!

In response to Bee,
I am Christian too, and I have NEVER in my Christian life heard of kids taking long naps as a "Christian" way. Intersting.
And I too LOVE the weekly devotionals.

I just have to comment on something I just read over at the new/temporary GWoP site. People are actually offering to send monetary gifts to PennMommy to help cover medical costs of her son. This just blows my mind! I am all about helping others in time of need, but who for sure even knows who this women is, that her stories are true etc?

I really need to stop going to that site. I always feel so yucky when I leave it.

Thank you so much for doing this blog, I just found it and am so excited! I have loved the show from the beginning, I am a mother of multiples as well and think Kate is amazing, while far from perfect like all of us. I wil continue to watch the show as long as it is on as will millions of other I am sure, regardless of all the garbage going around on the internet. Thanks again!

I guess the technical glitch was all it was at GWOP.

First off, I want to state that I am totally neutral to all the controversy. My comment is soley based on life experiences and observations of such situations. But I truly do think some of the posters on the GwoP site care about the Gosselin children. They believe that it is Jon and Kate's responsibility as parents to protect their children. Unfortunately, Jon and Kate are blinded by the false security of the money they are making from the show. However, I hope they are banking it away for the future. Because once the viewer ratings drop (and they will) who will be there to help them pick up the pieces? Not TLC, Figure 8 or the many advertisers....it WILL be Jodi, Kevin and friends...the very ones that J&K have been forced to leave behind that will be waiting in the wings. On this, you can depend. Peace and God Bless all.

It's nice that you love the show so much (I personally can't stand Kate, I think she is a terrible mother) but I would enjoy your site more if you knew how to spell and use proper grammer!!!!

I think your site is great! Too bad is little to nothing about the family as portrayed on TV. Kate is as dumb as a bag of rocks...okay that's harsh, and Fiddler crabs in NC will grow up to be Alaskan King Crabs.

Thanks for your positive blog! I feel that God has used Jon & Kate to spread their testimony (as He is using the Duggars as well). No, they aren't perfect, but what if someone came and filmed our every move? I'm sure we'd get criticized as well because we're only human and we make mistakes.

God bless!

I'm not sure who told you that but the Gosselin website has not been updated. I saw all those Kids Corner pics and quotes, etc months ago.
