Cookie Cara & Macadamia Mady Have A Blast In Hawaii!

It took less than 20 minutes this time before the trolls over at Gosselins Without Pity were howling over all the great and awesome thing the family got to do on this trip to Hawaii. I swear to you its gotta be Julie posting as an Anon 30 times! Ever one poster went so far as to say the boys should not be entitled to be served lobster until they realized it was just the kids picking off their fathers meal. I could do a re-cap just on the idiots that post over on that hate site. (Oh and for the record, it IS the same people posting over and over and using "anonymous". They keep commenting on things they wrote in prior posts.) Greed greed, they say, bitter bitter jealous trolls I say, get over it. Please TLC give me a show, give me that trip and I swear the haters can have 50 blogs about me and I wouldn't care one bit..

This episode was wonderful on so many levels are for so many reasons. I will try to remember a few...Leah learning how to swim. The boys going on a "Treasure Hunt" and Joel using the stick as a boom mic.. Mady finally shining at the hula. Alexis "at peace" on a snorkel board. Colin saying her cookie she made looked "yum". I swear Aaden is such a cutie, Kate was so right when she said once "whoever nabs him will be one lucky girl"! And finally the resort itself. Whatever it cost to put this family up they will make back tenfold. If I had the money I would book this place myself. It was so stunning and looked so much fun for the kids. I swear it was worth the wait to see them all enjoying it, and thinking how my family would love it too. I just booked our vacation next year for CA and now I had to watch this.....

Getting back to Mady. Those on Blogs like Cafe Mom & Facebook need to lay off that poor girl. As a mother to a girl Madys age I know that alot of girls that age are testing boundaries and seeing what they can and cant get away with "divastyle". What Kate did, removing her from baking was totally the right thing to do. I'm glad that she didn't spoil the rest of the kids fun. It showed her that she would be missing out on alot on that trip and after that she "shined". She got to Hula dance, make friends on the beach and appear to have an amazing time. My absolute favorite moment was when Kate coaxed Mady into the water. It shows how hard Kate works with trying to deal with Mady's personality and reminded me so much of what I deal with I really wanted to cry. Mady is a wonderful free spirit that needs to find her own place within that family. I was very proud of her.

All in all, it makes for a wonderful way to segway into the wedding and the finale of season 4. Lets hope there is more amazing things to come if they agree to season 5.

I agree with what you had to say regarding Mady. I believe some of the behavior we see is age related and some of it is just her personality. It appears that Kate is trying hard to do the right thing with Mady and figure out where discipline is needed. As a woman and a mother, you have to remember that some of those traits will be to her advantage and make her unique 15 years from now.

I'm so sadden by how the hate blogs won't let up. It's like they're sitting there in front of the TV with a notepad critiquing every single blessed movement, word, facial expression, etc. What happened to finding the good in everything? I'm even more saddened by what kind of traits the hate bloggers are leaving to their own children? yikes! I hope and pray that everything works out for the Gosselins and that their children never come across the blogs that have so torn down their family. :(

As for Hawaii, I hope to go one day! It's so beautiful and it's so neat that they got to experience it. The kids were cute as buttons and it's so fun to watch them learn and grow. As much as I've enjoyed the show, for their sake, I kinda hope the show ends so they can live their lives without the minute by minute trashing. it just breaks my heart! :(

Loved the show for all the reasons you mentioned!!

It was awesome to see Kate really relax and enjoy herself and her kids!! I was so proud of her for conquering her fears and getting out there in the water! Even better was that Mady was encouraged by Kate's courage and entered the water as well!! If I were Kate, I would of cried too!!

I am so excited to see next weeks episode.

Also, is this season over next week? I read somewhere that it isn't and that there is a garage sale episode in 2 weeks?

I really like the show, and your blog. And I don't think the Gosselins are "greedy" and all of the other bad things over on GWOP, which I read for entertainment value only. That said, I do think the show edits Mady and her scenes in such a way that it's made her a pretty annoying, unlikable child. I doubt she is like that all of the time, but that is her "character" on the show.

Bee, I just looked on the TLC website and it shows the Yard Sale episode on 11/24 and then on 12/1 it shows the family heading to the big apple to promote the book. Yay, I'm so glad the season isnt over!!!!

I also loved the sweet moments you wrote about. Mady would be exactly the way she is show or no show. I have a 9 year old Mady. We try to keep her from spoiling any fun for her 12 year old sister. We appreciate her unique personality and know that her strong temperament and passion will serve her well some day.
