The Gosselins Say Goodbye to The Old House, Jon & Kate Are Doin Great!

Hello Gosselin fans! Was the snowfall a record breaker for you too? Last night again I woke up several times. I called my husband who was taking a break from plowing (the best investment that has paid us back) and I forced him to talk to me to put me to sleep (lol). So we talked about what was going on two years ago today, and how I was also up scared to take my IVF in the hopes that I would get pregnant.

In these small instances, Kate and I were very much the same. We both wanted just one more, our husbands were happy with the family we already had. I had spent the past year going through horrible needles, Clomid and 4 unsuccessful IUI's that almost broke us. I was blessed to have wonderful insurance that covered one shot (chance) at a successful pregnancy. One In-Vitro Fertilization. Your ideally supposed to retrieve 15-20 good eggs to choose from to implant. I only had 5. And although I was only implanted with two eggs, I was made aware that there was a chance we could end up with triplets. I don't know how it happens in other States, but here in New York they pride themselves in creating the best chance of pregnancy with the lowest risk of multiple births. And after my scare when I lost baby B at 8 weeks, baby A (Ava) was a 12lb. 11oz. (yes, you read right) cutie patoodie that has blessed my life ever since. We spent last night laughing and wondering what it would have been like with triplets. I don't think we would be alive right now to talk about it (lol).

Jon Finally Makes A Statement to End The Rumors

Thank you so much Nina for putting out such great news! As per his rep you can see on RADAR:

"It is certainly hurtful for people to spread rumors and lies about us. It certainly makes me reluctant to live my life like the average person would. This has made it very clear that the simplest innocent gesture -- such as taking a picture with a fan, can be taken out of context."

"As you can see on the show, I am not perfect, but I am a part of a loving family and couple."

The Gosselins Say Goodbye To The Old House

I felt bad that tonight my TV heart was all over the place. I do not and have never watched The Bachelor, however with all the juicy gossip going on I HAD to see what this guy was going to do when he picks one girl in the finale and then changes his mind. Men. There's something to be grateful about when you look at your husband and thankfully say "Glad that's not me". I say this because just like the Gosslins, people are attracted to controversy, attracted to gossip. It ruined what would have otherwise been my Gosselin Night. I mean, they played the "Trip to Disney" tonight which is one of my favorite episodes! But alas, I couldn't get into tonight's episode....

If tonight's Moving episode was the last 2 minutes of the show, it would have been great. It literally brought an actual tear to my eye seeing those kids running around the house in montages. But it was more about finding junk you never knew you had which is pretty much every day at my house! I loved seeing the kids enjoying the crayons on the floor, and the feeling of sadness myself seeing the lights coming down. It did feel kinda like the end. Which is why I don't understand why they didn't save it for the March 23rd season finale. It would have felt great to know that even though the season was ending, next season would be here soon! Aaden, Joel, and Leah fought over burping the teddy bear was absolutely precious. And when Jon talked about not wanting to let go of any of his dad's stuff, I thought I was going to cry. But on a positive note, I thought Kate was great tonight, and I didn't realize how emotional even I would be seeing them leave that house...Who do you think will buy it? How crazy will it be to be living in that house? Do you think it will be a fan of the show?

I was reading somewhere that the whole family was at the Harlem Globetrotters this week for a show and of course a fuss was made that they were there. And instead of going, wow, they must have had a blast, that must have been fun, I was only thinking, what will people say about ANOTHER perk of being the Gosselins.....

I don't understand why people always concentrate on negative instead of positive... It's a sad sign of human nature!
12 lbs and 11 oz... WOW MOM! Way to go~

So funny you wrote that blog. I was thinking on the way to work this morning about the show last night. I am a big J&K fan and am so amazed how so many people can write such hurtful things about that family. Not even knowing them...then start rumors about them too. Misery loves company I guess. Any how, I got a little teary eyed also toward the end of last nights episode. I also love that Jon had his arm around her...proves all those GWOP people that they are not divorcing. I am also in the middle of Multiple Blessings...and I love how she explains the note cards. And why and where it came from. Again another big Slap in the face to the GWOP.

Thanks you so much again for such a great blog entry. You always have great insightful things to post and say. I look forward to your blog every week. Glad to read your story, thank you for sharing. Glad you have your precious little one...:-) I have to say that I was very teary eyed last night watching them say "goodbye" to their old house. Especially at the end with all the shots of the house and them playing in those parts. I don't know why it saddened me so much, but it did. I guess because it was the end of their beginning of their "crazy life" which has gotten more crazy. Thanks so much again...:-)

I really liked the last few minutes of the show...precious! It was a little sad but also exciting...isn't that usually how change goes?!

There is a reason that bachelor is living alone with a child. He is selfish, I think. He is so worried about getting hurt, but just trampled all over the hearts without giving it a second thought. This iso ne reason I hate that show. I just happened to catch the last 10 min, with eye rolling and gagging sounds the whole time. It is a ludicrous show, you can't fall in love in a paradise setting and expect to live happily ever after. Let's face it, they have only had 1 successful couple come out of that silly show. I hate it, it isn't even 'reality'.

Why didn't they have him come meet him with a little boy that didn't want to get up in the morning and go to school, the girl in her blue jeans and driving around going to work? No, they show them all in their best light. Life isn't like that, and it sets them up in a TV world.

I liked last night's episode simply for the fact of closure. I know that whenever our family leaves a house I take everyone through each room and we all stand there for a moment and remember memories and we say good-bye to the room. I mean EACH room. I know it sounds silly but its pieces of your life your leaving behind in that house and its emotional. But I was glad to see they gave us closure on the house too by showing them finalizing the details. I really could relate when she said she went back and felt like it was so small and how did they live in that house for so long? All in all, i was satisfied as i usually am w/ each episode. Also glad to see Jon clear up the rumors and satisfy our curiosity. Can't wait to see what next season brings.

Theresa~OMG I AM DYING! I lost 56 pounds after my very huge baby was born (yes, it was a c-section) and I'm very proud to say that I am no longer anyone's "Big Mama" haha. But baby is tiny and petite now, I suffered from Gestational Diabetes and I was very sick. She was so puffy!

Anyhow, lately I have heard my little tag name across alot of the hate blogs. They all know who I am and I'm super proud of that. I worked really hard the past 7 months on this blog, and I'm worth it! (lol)

Cindy~ I really disliked the Bachelor and I never saw the show. Holy controversy! What do they need part 2 of this headache for? I give Melissa so much credit, I would have gone off on that guy! All I can say is, it made me appreciate my husband that much more! I don't think I can watch it tonight, I'm so overwhelmed to watch American Idol, I never see it.

I loved that they had that carcass from the crabs! Cracks me up the things we do for our kids! Then Jon finds it, laughs, and tosses it in the garbage. Too funny!!

Thanks again for this site, I stopped going to GWOP some time ago, it makes me feel sick in my stomach to see how they are talking about J&K. Plus, people like that are kind of scary, it makes you wonder what they are capable of? Really, I am afraid for some of them that know where J&K live. Wouldn't want any of them as neighbors. I think they are doing this for attention. HEY LOOK AT ME, I KNOW IT ALL because I LIVE WHERE THEY LIVE.......LOOK AT ME! GAG

The rumors are out of control! I like what Kate has to say on their site about not paying any attention to them and they're really not any worse than anything that happens to other people on TV. I know all about not being liked in J&K world LOL, but I usually hang out where there are rules about actually calling people names to their monitor. Keep up the good fight Baby Mama! Keep calling them as you see them, I love it!

Okay, here are my comments. My disclaimer- I love J&K and haven't missed an episode and have Seasons 1 and 2 on DVD, plus LOVE LOVE LOVED the book.

Having said that:
1) the "Goodbye House" episode was pretty blah. Not very interesting. Like someone else said, I did crack up over Jon finding the hermit crab carcass. That was too funny. I also liked that they had another laugh over the pinecone box incident.
2) On the negative side, the show has changed. I love to watch the repeats and happened to catch the Valentine's Day one a week or so ago. Kate was so different- she was so happy and involved. Now, it seems like she's tired and disinterested, plus you never see her interact with the kids. I know she's traveling a lot and they've moved, but I'm concerned for her. She just doesn't look happy. I wonder if she would still do the show if she knew then what she knows now.
3) SO tired of the haters!!!!! If you don't like J&K, DON'T WATCH IT!! Good grief. I don't care for American Idol, so you know what, I DON'T WATCH IT. Gee....

Anyway, great site BabyMama. Thanks for all your hard work keeping us up on all things J&K. :<}

Loved the episode. I cracked up when they remembered the pine cone box scene. Such a typical man. It was a nice way to close out the old chapter of their lives. I remember all the hype because the house was "messy" in the listing photos. But, you see them trying to clean and fix things and the agent is just clicking the pictures. So, HAHA GWOP, once again you look stupid, because you jumped to conclusions. I loved watching the flashback scenes, and the kids just getting to run around.

Baby Mama- I just dont know what to think of all the rumors I see going around on the internet. There is a article coming out in Star magazine that says some nasty things about Jon & Kate not living together & that they are only staying married until there contract is up with figure eight. This really upset me. I have always been a fan of the show. There really are not alot of real people left in this world and I always thought they were a honest loving couple. I know not to trust everything I read or here. Lately I just get a bad vibe when I see them doing there couch interviews. They give off a weird vibe. The way they sit on the couch makes it seem like they cant stand to sit next to one another. I was just looking for your opinion. It has always been my favorite show to watch. I just dont want to be fooled or let down. Thanks for listening. Carrie
